We are inspiring people everywhere to be Heart Strong.

“The Heart Strong face heartbreak with courage and curiosity  so they can find a deep inner strength  that enables them to grow through their  life’s challenges and  impact their world for good.”

- Jessica Lindberg, Founder

WHERE WE’VE BEEN:

Founded in 2015 as Ethan Lindberg Foundation, we've raised over $3 million to support families facing the most complex congenital heart disease. We were founded by the Lindberg Family, who have spent the last 18 years raising two sons with complex illnesses. We are evolving under The Heart Strong Collective name and growing into our new mission.

Where we’ve been: Over the last eight years, the Ethan Lindberg Foundation has accomplished the following:

Raised $3 + million to support families in the long haul of raising kids with complex congenital heart disease.

Provided over 300 grants to families in over 31 states to help with travel, housing, food, and the daily expenses of having a child in the hospital.

Supported research around single ventricle heart congenital heart disease, bi-ventricular repair, diastolic dysfunction, and the financial impact that congenital heart disease has on families and resilience in families.

They created Four Hearts Shop, a 100% non-profit shop that houses the Heart Strong Brand, sharing a message of resilience with their customers and supporters.

Partnered with Bowen Hammitt and his father, singer, and songwriter Matt Hammitt to create a music video to a song called "Heart Strong" that Bowen wrote after being gifted a shirt from Four Hearts Shop. The video, seen by over 125,000 people, raises awareness about congenital heart disease and encourages people everywhere to be Heart Strong.

Made annual donations to Boston Children's Hospital Music Therapy Department since 2015. Their initial commitment to Music Therapy doubled the availability at Boston Children's Heart Center for inpatient children.

Provided financial resources to social workers at Lurie Children’s Heart Center and Boston Children’s Heart Center for immediate deployment to families in need.

Published articles and created original research about resilience and the financial impact that CHD has on families. View our webinar here.

Created Heart Strong for Healthcare and donated over 1,500 shirts to healthcare workers around the country during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The foundation has advocated for countless families individually and collectively through speaking engagements, publications, and trusted relationships.

Provided 3,000+ nights of housing, offering a restful place to call home to countless moms, dads, patients, siblings, and grandparents from across the United States who have traveled to Boston Children's Heart Center for care.

Created Restoring a Mother’s Heart for 97 grieving mothers offering them a place to share their stories and learn about a new way to approach their grief.

Partnered with John Hancock Charity Program for the Boston Marathon for five years.

Founder Jessica Lindberg created and hosts The Heart Strong Podcast, sharing her story and offering conversations with authors, thought leaders, experts, and extraordinary everyday people to offer tools and ideas about how we can all grow through life's challenges.

In 2022, the foundation made its first donation to support research for Muscle Eye Brain Disease, a rare congenital muscular dystrophy.
