Personally identifiable Information collected by THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION is securely stored and is not accessible to third parties or employees of THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION except for use as indicated in this Privacy Policy.  THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION protects your Personally Identifiable Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.  We secure the Personally Identifiable Information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment.  All of our employees are familiar with our security policy and practices.  The Personally Identifiable Information of our Site visitors is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password in order to gain access to the information.  We review our security systems and processes on a regular basis.  While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure Site, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins, and we cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to visitors to our Site for any such occurrences. 

 

With whom may the Information be shared?
THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION may share aggregated information about our Site visitors, including the demographics of our visitors, with Children’s Hospital Boston.  We offer the opportunity to “opt out” of receiving information or being contacted by us or by any third party acting on our behalf either via e-mail or direct mail. 

 

How does THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION use Personally Identifiable Information?
We use Personally Identifiable Information to operate, customize and update the content of our Site and to provide the services offered on our Site.  We use your Personally Identifiable Information to inform you of other products or services available from THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION or any of its partners and to conduct surveys or studies aimed at determining better or more comprehensive ways THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION can serve you or provide its services.  THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION may also use your Personally Identifiable Information to help compile general statistics regarding the Site.  THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION may grant its partners access to certain Personally Identifiable Information on a need to know basis for evaluating visitor demographics for marketing analysis. We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Site.  An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet.  We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users’ movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the Site, and deliver customized, personalized content.  IP addresses are not linked to Personally Identifiable Information. 

 

How does THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION use “cookies”?
A “cookie” is a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a Web page server.  They are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a Web server in the same domain that issued the cookie to you.  We do not use cookies to obtain information about visitors to our Site.

THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION will let our Site visitors know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the Site.  Any such change will be effective immediately upon posting. 

 

What happens if THE ETHAN LINDBERG FOUNDATION is sold or engages in other transactions?
